Tom Sparks has recently started his stormwater business and is focusing on the new compliance regulations from the DEQ to bring all existing drywells in Oregon into compliance. Tom is working with his client to complete the paperwork and do training on appropriate best management practices for operating and maintaining the stormwater system, but asked me to consult on exploring possible green options for coming into compliance. We worked together to brainstorm ideas and explore potential costs of green and non-green options. In addition, I offered guidance from my years of experience permitting drywells in Oregon on he might proceed when approaching his client and the DEQ.
